Jack wanted the CEO job back from Ashley, but when she refused, he exercised a company by-law barring a non-blood Abbott from being CEO. Ashley joined Newman Enterprises, where she clashed with Victoria. To lure her back to Jabot, Jack framed her for leaking Newman intel. It didn’t work. DRAMA MIA! Married to Victor in name only, Nikki bedded contractor Arturo. Nikki and Victor ultimately renewed their relationship, and Arturo and Ashley coupled up. Arturo’s estranged brother, Rey, joined the GCPD. Their little sister, Lola, tried to broker peace, but tensions flared when Rey’s wife/arturo’s ex-girlfriend, Mia, showed up. SON DOWN, SON UP
Kyle returned and schemed for advancement at Jabot .... Dina confessed that Jack wasn’t John’s son. Jack was devastated when a DNA test proved her right, forcing him to step down as CEO. Billy took over and made drastic changes. Kyle manipulated his uncle into gambling again, leading to his removal as CEO. While in charge, Traci rescinded the bylaw and reinstated Ashley, who confessed that Jack is a bio Abbott; she had rigged his DNA test as payback. Ash discovered she owns the rights to the Jabot products she developed and moved to Paris to start her own company. Phyllis became Jabot’s CEO and hired Kerry, who dated Jack. SOUR NOTE

He tried to hurt Vicky again, so Nikki fatally struck him with a fireplace poker. Sharon and Phyllis helped the women bury J.T. and they made a pact to keep his death a secret. Reed, distraught over his dad’s “disappearance”, went to boarding school. Nick donned a J.T. mask to spook Victor. Tessa blackmailed the women, desperate to pay back some baddies; someone else also knew about the crime. Rey’s investigation into J.T.’S murder focused on an MIA Victor. Nikki fell off the wagon and was injured in a car crash while Reed was driving. Billy and Victoria grew closer.
