Q AOn GH, how did Nina become the editor of Crimson? Leslie M., Boston, MA Julian, who was running Derek Wells Media at the time, hired her in 2015. He was hoping that with her lack of experience, she would do a poor job, which would enable him to fold the magazine and get a tax break, but she surprised him with her competence.

QWho is that woman on DYNASTY blackmailing Culhane? I know I’ve seen her somewhere before. Thanks! Dolly S., via email

A That’s Katherine Lanasa, a.k.a. Mrs. Grant Show (Blake), portraying Ada on the DYNASTY reboot. Lanasa and Show also appeared together on his last prime-time soap, DEVIOUS MAIDS, in 2016, when she played Shannon, the sister-in-law of his character, Spence.

QDidn’t Y&R’S Esther marry Chloe’s father? I believe he was a plumber. What happened to him? K.L., via email

A Esther was never married to Tiny, as he was called, and in fact, Tiny dropped out of sight when she informed him that she was pregnant. Esther did have two weddings but both marriages were invalid. In 1994, Esther tied the knot with Norman Peterson but Kay believed that he was a fortune hunter, so La Chancellor hired an actor to pose as the minister, unbeknownst to the bride. Kay’s suspicions were proven correct when her husband, Rex, caught Norman breaking into the mansion’s safe. Unfortunately, Norman shot and killed Rex and the assailant was carted off to prison. Esther tried matrimony again in 2009 with Roger Wilkes, but he turned out to be a con man, as well. He was already married, so that union wasn’t legal, either.

QI know that B&B’S Brooke and Taylor have fought over Ridge for years but I was wondering if they have any other men in common? If I’m not mistaken, weren’t they both married to Ridge’s half brother, Nick, at one point? Thanks. R.L., via email

A You are correct, R.L. Besides Ridge and Nick, Brooke and Taylor were also wed to Whip Jones, as well. The women were also romantically involved with Eric (whom Brooke married, twice), Thorne (Brooke wed him but their union was annulled; Taylor’s en-

gagement to him was broken) and the late Grant Chambers (who Brooke also wed).

What was the name of Stone and Jagger’s sister on GH and who played her? J.T., via email

A The Cates brothers’ sister was named Gina. Nikki Cox originated the role and portrayed her from 1993-95; Gina Gallagher took over in 1996; and from 1996-97, Stephanie Dicker played the part. Dicker also made a brief appearance on the GH spin-off PORT CHARLES in 1997.

QWho is Eve’s mother on DAYS? When did Eve come to town? Thanks. June T., via email

A Gabrielle Pascal, Shane’s former ISA partner, is Eve’s mother. Eve arrived in Salem in 1987. It was Shane’s wife, Kimberly, who first met Eve, a troubled teenager who was working as a hooker for pimp Nick Corelli. Eve (who was under the impression that Emma Marshall was her mom) blamed Kim for the breakup of her parents’ marriage and was in town to get revenge. She immediately clashed with Sarah Horton and accidentally hit her with her car. When Eve was arrested, she came clean with Shane about her identity, confirming her story with a letter from the midwife who delivered her. Eve moved in with the Donovans. In 1988, Eve discovered that Gabrielle was her mother, but was still determined to undermine the Donovan union and reunite her parents. Shane legally adopted Eve, but she returned to prostitution.

Kim came to her rescue after an enraged john cornered her. Kim was badly beaten and lost her unborn baby daughter. A devastated Kim left town to deal with the loss. Meanwhile, Gabrielle and Eve were attacked by the Riverfront Knifer (a.k.a. Harper Deveraux); Gabrielle moved in with Eve and Shane. Eve was attacked again and suffered psychological damage. Shane and Gabrielle grew closer as they took care of their daughter. When Kim returned to town, she went undercover as a hooker to try to lure the Knifer to the police. Working together made Shane realize how much he loved Kim. Gabrielle left town. Eve ultimately accepted her stepmother but still caused a lot of problems in Salem.
