PECKING ORDER
At Devon and Ana’s New Year’s Eve party, Cane drinks to numb his sadness over Lily’s absence and passes out. Fen is delighted to learn of Lola’s split from Kyle, but Abby and Ana invite Kyle to the bash in hopes of reuniting him with Lola. Unwilling to give Kyle a second chance, she smooches Fen at midnight. The next day, Cane is ashamed by his behavior; Devon gives him a pep talk.
GOING NOWHERE
Nick, Nate, and Nikki arrive at their mysterious destination, which Nick recognizes as the private airstrip his dad uses. Victor appears and declares that for Nikki’s sake, they must flee the country. Nate agrees to go with them, but Rey gets a bead on their location and breaks his New Year’s plans with Mia in order to intercept the group before the plane takes off. The men are arrested for kidnapping, while Nikki is taken back to the hospital. Nikki fibs in her statement that she asked to be removed from the hospital. Christine releases Nick and Nate, but she and Rey arrest Victor for J.T.’S murder. Victor thunders that he doesn’t need a lawyer to prove his innocence.
SLOW AND STEADY
Things get tense when Phyllis asks Victoria if she and Billy are getting back together. Victoria denies it, but Phyllis isn’t convinced. Mariah delivers a report on Victor’s arrest for GC BUZZ; Abby accuses her of condemning an innocent man. Knowing that Victor didn’t kill J.T., Mariah feels conflicted. Rey
allows Abby to share a brief visit with Victor, while Billy consoles Victoria over her dad’s arrest. They acknowledge that their feelings for each other are resurfacing, and agree to take things slow.
WHATEVER LOLA WANTS
Lola is peeved when Kyle and Fen squabble over her. Kyle implores her to help him understand what he did to upset her, and she agrees to give him another chance. Fen is bummed.
THE FORGIVEN
Jill, newly separated from Colin, gives a tough-love speech to Cane that inspires him to
be a better husband. She also urges Billy to reconcile with Victoria, and he admits that they have been getting closer.
Cane proposes to Victoria that they take Charlie and Reed to see Nikki, and allow her to decide whether to press charges. Vicky agrees to the plan. At the hospital, Nikki is shocked by the boys’ confession, but easily forgives them, insisting the accident was her fault, caused because she was drinking again.
WHAT A BUST
Nikki is distraught when she learns of Victor’s arrest and begs her children to help their dad. Nick is reluctant at first, thinking Victor may be guilty of J.T.’S murder, but he joins Victoria to pay his father a visit. A suspicious Victor asks to speak to Nick alone, then demands to know if Nick killed J.T. Nick is floored, and begins to rethink his perception of Victor. As the ice between them thaws, Victor asks Nick to look after Nikki while he’s behind bars. Nick gives his word. Victoria goes to see Nikki, who announces her intention to confess to J.T.’S murder to save Victor.
