Ingo Rademacher Out At B&B

-

■ In a message on Instagram, Ingo Rademacher revealed that he will be wrapping up his run as B&B’S Thorne. “I think it’s time to set the record straight,” he posted. “I have decided to not continue with my contract on The Bold and The Beautiful and I’ll be finishing up my last episodes in January. I want to thank [Executive Producer/ Head Writer] Brad Bell (we’ve been communicating) the entire show and cast (truly awesome people) and also CBS for a fun year of playing Thorne.”

The actor confirms that he has spent the last two months in Hawaii with his family, and indicates that this might not be the end of him as Thorne. “We are parting on good terms and with the possibility of a return,” Rademacher added. “We shall see what the new year brings. Yes I have been in Hawaii for the last 2 months with my family working on my property and will continue to stay here throughout January but then it’s back to L.A.”

Rademacher made headlines when he joined the soap in October of 2017, replacing fan fave Winsor Harmon, who had portrayed Thorne since 1996. The switch was amicable, and the actors addressed the issue on social media. “We’ve been friends for a long time he’s a great guy,” Harmon posted when Rademacher was hired. “I just ask everyone to give him a chance!! He will be great, very talented Actor!!”

Rademacher is the second Forrester to take his leave from the canvas. Jacob Young (Rick) was taken off contract in the spring of 2018.

“I have decided to not continue with my contract.”
