B&B’S Wayne Brady (Reese) took home Emmy gold last year as Outstanding Game Show Host, nine years after taking over the iconic LET’S MAKE A DEAL in 2009. While he has won four Emmys in various categories over the years, Brady had given up hope in the Host category, but daughter Maile Brady (Tiffany) insisted that he attend the evening — and Brady’s glad he did. “It was so humbling,” he says of the event. “At the end of the day, we just make people happy, and that’s what I truly love. — the sketches, the improv, the songs and the deals — don’t necessarily fit into a mold, so when my name was called, it was one of the best moments in my life because my partner-in-crime was there with me, and that made it all the more special. She’s the reason why I even went to the Daytime Emmys that year. She said, ‘Dad, I want to go with you.’ I said, ‘Maile, I just got off a plane from a shoot. I’m tired,’ and she said, ‘Put on your tuxedo. You are taking me on a date,’ and that girl got me out of the house. That night will forever be etched in my head as one of the best nights ever!”
