When Rey is out of town, Mia relies on Arturo to fix her broken heater. They grow closer as they huddle together for warmth.

Once Sharon and Rey’s mission is accomplished, a storm hits and the duo is forced to find shelter for the night. They come upon a motel that only has one room available. Despite the discomfort of being in close quarters, Rey and Sharon keep things platonic. When they’re safely back in Genoa City the next day, Rey decides not to tell Mia about who he spent the night with.

Does Rey find it difficult to operate by the book, especially when it comes to his feelings for Sharon (Sharon Case)? Jordi Vilasuso answers:

“Not really. I think that’s the reason why Rey went into police work because justice and doing the right thing means a lot to him. Rey aspires to be a stand-up guy because his dad wasn’t.”
