B&B: Shauna And Ridge Kiss

-

■ Ridge and Eric discuss the state of Brooke and Ridge’s union, and can’t help but notice that history seems to be repeating itself. “This whole situation hits a little too close to home for Ridge,” notes Thorsten Kaye (Ridge). “Stephanie basically treated Brooke the way that Brooke is treating Thomas now, but the difference is, I do think Brooke has a reason for treating Thomas the way she treats him. I wasn’t here for all of that so I don’t know the entire history of Brooke and Stephanie, but I don’t think Brooke was using her kids and lying and being creepy. But there certainly are similarities.”

After the chat, Ridge returns to the Forrester guesthouse, where he finds Shauna sleeping in his bed. “Keep in mind, this is the same bed where Bill Spencer had sex with his daughter, Steffy, so it should have been burned a long time ago, along with that whole structure,” muses the actor. “Finding Shauna there is totally unexpected, but finding an attractive woman in your bed is always a nice treat. It’s like when they leave those chocolates on your pillow in really nice hotels.”

So Ridge decides to go with the flow. “Shauna has been very connected to Ridge,” Kaye points out. “If Brooke was there for Ridge now and helped him help his son get better, he wouldn’t have even looked twice at Shauna. I’m not sure what issues that designer man has, but he obviously doesn’t like being alone, and if there’s a chance of Brooke not being there for him 100 percent, then it seems he has to find someone who will be. It’s a major character flaw on Ridge’s part.”

Shauna then kisses Ridge, who responds in kind. “When a woman initiates a kiss, a gentleman can’t just push her away,” Kaye asserts. “He’s just being chivalrous. It’s like when you go to a dinner party: You always eat what is being served.”

After, Brooke calls Ridge to say that she misses him. “He misses her, too!” defends Kaye. “Ridge can’t be weak. If he really wants Brooke back, he needs to fight for her. When they both say, ‘I miss you,’ they may be the same words but for each of them, they mean something different. She misses him, and he misses who she was. It’s really bittersweet.”

“Shauna has been very connected to Ridge.”
