YOUNG AND RESTLESS
The Trick-or-treaters: Mishael Morgan (Amanda), Joshua Morrow (Nick) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis)
Favorite Scary Movie
Morgan: “Any Nightmare on Elm Street.
Nothing beats Freddy!”
Morrow: “Nightmare on Elm Street 1.I
saw it when I was a kid and was scared out of my mind.”
Stafford: “Silence of the Lambs!”
Best Candy
Morgan: “The mini-chocolate bars: Twix, Kit Kat and Oh Henry!, for my fellow Canadians!”
Morrow: “I don’t dig chocolate too much, so when the li’l scrappers get some Paydays for Halloween, they always hook Daddy up.”
Stafford: “Abba-zaba.”
Worst Candy
Morgan: “Candy corn. I’m not sure whose sick idea it was, but it definitely scares me.”
Morrow: “Any dark chocolate bars.” Stafford: “Candy corn. The worst!”
Favorite Pumpkin Dish
Morgan: “Pumpkin and roti (Trinidad style) because it’s just that good. Yum!” Morrow: “My grandma makes these pumpkin/cheesecake brownie things that are just plain stupid. I’m pretty sure I’ve set the world record on the most consumed in one sitting.”
Stafford: “Pumpkin bars.”
Spookiest Sound
Morgan: “A door slamming. Just try not to jump if a door unexpectedly slams.” Morrow: “The sound of Hunter King [Summer] rehearsing her lines is downright the scariest thing I have ever heard.” Stafford: “A creaking door.”
My Best Halloween Costume Ever
Morgan: “Sexy cop! I loved all the small details that looked real, and who doesn’t like using handcuffs?”
Morrow: “My space cowboy one the show did for me a year ago. I felt cool and if the planet was under attack from aliens of any kind I was fairly confident that I could save all mankind.”
Stafford: “I was a nurse in the first grade. My mom made the costume and I was so excited to go to school. I even had a little medical bag. Everybody made fun of me. I was devastated. I just wanted to take it off. Clearly, I’m still scarred from the event.”
Costume Philosophy: Instantly Recognizable Or More Obscure?
Morgan: “Instantly recognizable! If someone asks me what I am, I have failed.” Morrow: “Where you are mocking something that is current and funny — like someone wearing a costume of Camryn Grimes [Mariah] would slay me.” Stafford: “Whatever you want! That is the beauty of Halloween!”
Buy A Costume Or Make One?
Morgan: “Buy, but I envy people who have the time, patience and creativity to make their own.”
Morrow: “Costumes should be bought.
Who has time to fashion one? Maybe when
we were younger and didn’t have 74 kids running around.”
Stafford: “Whatever floats your boat. The more creative, the better.”
Host A Party Or Go To One?
Morgan: “Go to one. I’ll probably wait till my babes are a little older before we plan one.”
Morrow: “Go! It saves on the cleanup and you just bounce when they run out of beer and you go home, get in some jammies and turn on ESPN.”
Stafford: “Go to one! People get messy and out of control on Halloween. I don’t want to clean up after them.”
Haunted Houses: Sign Me Up Or Skip ’Em?
Morgan: “I want to skip ’em, but my husband always signs us up!”
Morrow: “When we were young, they seemed so cool but now I think they’re silly. Does anything scare me anymore, I mean, besides Hunter rehearsing her lines?” Stafford: “Sign me up! I also love to do the scaring! The house I grew up in was old and on a hill. My parents did a live haunted house every year. All of their friends would dress up and scare children! People would drive in from other towns to go to our house. It was a kid’s dream! It’s still one of my greatest childhood memories!”
Pets In Costumes: Yay Or Nay?
Morgan: “Yay, because dressing up is fun. Why discriminate?”
Morrow: “Pets can be in costumes if you want. We don’t dress our dogs, although our Molly is super-fat now and she would make an adorable Jabba the Hutt.”
Stafford: “Yay!”
Couples Costumes: Yay Or Nay?
Morgan: “Yay, because it’s fun to torture my husband after he drags me to those haunted houses!”
Morrow: “Couples costumes are always a good time. The Hotness [a.k.a. wife Tobe] and I have done that and it’s better for sure.”
Stafford: “Yay!”
