BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL Hope Wants Douglas
Having decided that Douglas is better off with her, Liam and Beth, Hope takes action to keep Thomas’s son under her roof. “According to Hope, the one thing Thomas was right about was that she could be a positive influence in Douglas’s life and be a mother figure to him,” states Annika Noelle (Hope). “While she didn’t fall in love with Thomas, Hope did fall in love with his son. She wants to look out for him, and keeping him close will allow her to do that.”
Hope and Brooke then formulate a plan to get Thomas to forsake his paternal rights. While Liam is hesitant, Brooke is in favor of the idea. “Brooke is pushing it even more,” explains Noelle. “Is it a matter of her wanting what’s best for Douglas? Or, is it a matter of her getting revenge against Thomas? Hope’s not sure. She does wonder if this is because of what’s happening between her and Ridge right now, or because of what has transpired between Brooke and Thomas in the past. But either way, Hope is happy to have an ally in her quest.”
GENERAL HOSPITAL Kendra Drugs Alexis
Kendra furthers her plan to make Alexis pay for what she believes was her deliberate involvement in the death of Kendra’s brother, Kiefer, and drugs her client’s supplement.
Alexis is entirely oblivious to Kendra’s sinister intent. “She has had a rough couple of years, from her up-and-down relationship with Julian to her dependence on alcohol,” points out Co-head Writer Chris Van Etten. “She has found in Kendra someone seemingly very straightforward and with no apparent ulterior motive. It is easy for Alexis to be around her and easy for her to be open with her. That’s what makes it easier for Kendra to slip in and to take advantage.”
Which she does, by slipping something into the supplement she has convinced Alexis to take. “Alexis would do well to vet these people in her life who take on sort of an advisory position,” Van Etten notes. “She would also do well to keep a closer eye on her personal belongings! It is these two factors together that have Alexis at risk of ingesting something that Kendra herself would never intentionally ingest.”
YOUNG AND RESTLESS Billy Confesses To Adam
At the Grand Phoenix, Billy and Adam see each other for the first time since Adam returned to Genoa City. When Adam theorizes that it was Billy who tried to kill him, Abbott acknowledges that it’s true. “Billy is doing his best to find closure from his recent dark experience, and he knows that he truly can’t move on until he takes responsibility for trying to run down Adam,” says Head Writer Josh Griffith. “Also, Billy decides to come clean because he doesn’t want Victor to have any leverage over him.”
When Adam wonders about who pushed him out of the way of Billy’s oncoming car, Billy doesn’t mention Chloe. Griffith explains, “Billy feels a sense of relief that Chloe is able to move on with her life now that she and Adam have called a truce and Billy doesn’t want to risk igniting that feud.”
Will Adam have Billy arrested? “The power has shifted in Adam’s favor,” notes Griffith. “He will make a shocking decision that will have a domino effect.”
DAYS OF OUR LIVES Laniõs Difficult Choice
As Lani’s wedding day nears, she is tormented by Gabi’s threat to her to dump Eli at the altar or else Gabi will do harm to Julie’s new heart. “Eli is the love of Lani’s life; she wants to protect him,” says Sal Stowers (Lani). “She doesn’t want to put him through this. She knows that this is going to destroy him.”
Lani pays a visit to Sarah to find out more about the pacemaker, but Gabi interrupts their chat. “Lani is in law enforcement and she’s stuck,” says Stowers. “She doesn’t know what to do. Her intentions are to find out if someone can really access a pacemaker [from their phone], because when you really think about that, that sounds crazy.” Gabi instructs Lani to stay the course.
On the big day, “Lani’s not sure at all,” sighs Stowers. “She’s very conflicted. There’s moments of yes, she knows that she has to do this, but then seeing Eli at the altar, that is the man of her dreams. She wants to marry this man. She wants to spend her life with this man. She’s definitely struggling.”
