PAST TENSE

Billy once again questions Amanda about the nature of their relationship. She acknowledges that there’s chemistry between them but notes they must remain friends because he’s married. Billy then gets Amanda to open up about her past. She shares that she grew up in foster care and had a troubled childhood. Amanda expresses pride for turning her life around and becoming a lawyer. Amanda also reveals she was once involved in a rocky relationship with an ex-boyfriend that forced her to file a restraining order against him. Billy presses for more details, but Amanda clams up.
