YOUNG AND RESTLESS Kyle And Summer Kiss
In San Francisco, Kyle and Summer return to his hotel suite after nailing a successful business deal. “They were in negotiations to buy this cosmetics company, which was complicated because there was a lot of going back and forth with them,” explains Hunter King (Summer). “Now Kyle and Summer are super-excited and very proud of what they were able to pull off, so they break into the minibar and order room service.”
Kyle then asks if Summer and Theo are really over and she confirms that she’s happily single. When Kyle declares that Summer deserves better than Theo, she asks if Kyle is truly happy with Lola. “You can see that the questions make him tense but because Summer knows him so well, she senses there’s something wrong,” says King. “Summer isn’t being manipulative. She’s trying to be mature and honest, but in that moment there’s this pull of chemistry between them.”
Which leads to Kyle pulling Summer into a kiss ....
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL Eric Boots Shauna
After his conversation with Brooke about Shauna, Eric takes action. “The only thing he can do, the only way he can help the situation, is to get Shauna off the property,” states John Mccook (Eric). “He thinks it is inappropriate that she’s still staying there while Ridge is still flirting with her. He understands Brooke’s motivations. However, the argument from Quinn is, ‘Look, if Ridge is going to have a thing with Shauna, he’s going to do it wherever. If Ridge wants to have an affair, he will,’ so that’s the frustration there. But, because Eric is very protective of Brooke, he pulls Shauna out of the area and gets her off the property.”
The move apparently does not affect Eric and Quinn’s relationship. “When you see the scenes, as angry as Quinn gets with Eric — and she is chastising Eric — you can see how much they still love each other,” chuckles Mccook. “As difficult as this decision is for Quinn to handle, I don’t think it’s a deal-buster.”
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL Sally Is Ill
Realizing that she feels off, Sally goes to the doctor. “Sally has been having quite a bit of headaches that have progressed to dizziness, and she is not really quite sure it’s stress or if there is an underlying issue,” states portrayer Courtney Hope. “Her hands start shaking and then it becomes difficult for her to design, which is when her designs start to falter. She starts to get stressed out. Sally is never really sick. It’s not something she ever deals with and she prides herself on being really healthy, so this is kind of odd for her to feel this way, and so she takes herself to the doctor.”
Sally bumps into Katie. “Sally is feeling really alone,” sighs Hope. “She doesn’t like to share. She doesn’t want to show anyone that something is wrong, and when Katie shows up, Sally is at that moment where she is very vulnerable. It’s the perfect door for Sally to be able to share what she’s feeling. There’s a lot of stress that Sally has been putting on herself, trying to pretend like everything is okay, at work and around Wyatt, so to be able to have someone to open up to, I think she needs it more than she thinks she does.”
GENERAL HOSPITAL Bradõs In The Hot Seat
After Nelle blackmails Brad into letting her crash with him, Brad is on the receiving end of some pointed questions from Michael.
“Her appearance is unraveling all the work that Brad has done to just barely juggle the pieces of his life into some semblance of order,” says Parry Shen (Brad) of Nelle’s unwelcome arrival. To make matters worse, Nelle insists on holding her biological child. “Brad always had the buffer of Pentonville to keep Nelle and her unpredictable ways away from Wiley and himself. Now that’s gone and he’s very apprehensive, to say the very least, about her intentions, especially with her holding Wiley and potentially reinforcing her maternal bond with him.”
Michael shows up at Brad’s, sees Wiley in Nelle’s arms, and demands answers about why he would let Nelle anywhere near Michael’s godson. Shen says Brad fears “that the whole thing is going to come out right then and there! That is the last thing that he needs, another person — especially the birth father — scrutinizing his every action with Wiley.”
