SHE DID IT
Kristen tells Brady that she wants to confess to stabbing Victor. Brady insists it’s better if he takes the blame. Later, Brady goes off for arraignment, and Kristen learns that Victor has woken up.
Eli questions Victor about his stabbing. Victor gets agitated, but manages to mutter Kristen’s name to Eli, who asks if she’s the true culprit.
DOUBLE TIME
Ben questions Jake about his past love, who sounds a lot like Gabi. Ciara arrives and is stunned by his resemblance to Stefan. Later, Jake hires Ben, then leaves to run an errand. Ciara and Ben celebrate their good news.
Gabi is still rattled off seeing Jake in the square. Lani comes by to talk to her about
Abigail’s drugging, revealing the drug came from Dimera Enterprises. Gabi maintains her innocence and kicks Lani out. Later, Gabi comes face to face with Jake.
Chad and Abigail tear into Rafe for not arresting Gabi. Abigail gets emotional, which triggers another hallucination as Abigail thinks Stefan has returned from the dead to attack her and her husband.
Gabi is convinced that
Jake is really Stefan, but
Jake insists that he is just her dead husband’s doppelgänger. Gabi begs him to let her in on what he has planned, hoping he has come back to help her deal with Abigail and Chad, but Jake continues to deny any hidden agenda.
REX FILES
Rex is stunned when Kate reveals that Sarah’s baby is really Brady and Kristen’s. Sarah returns to the café, and Rex confronts her. Sarah insists she’s not giving the baby back, so Rex says he has no choice but to call the police. He then tries to phone Kristen, but Sarah knocks Rex out.
In Salem, Kristen admits to Lani that she is the one who stabbed Victor. Kristen pleads with her friend to look the other way and let her go to find her daughter. Later, Lani diverts Eli from arresting Kristen.
MOM’S THE WORD
Xander visits Maggie and
reveals that Kristen stabbed Victor, but he’s okay. Xander also tells her about the baby switch. Maggie is devastated to realize she caused her own granddaughter’s death.
In Paris, Sarah has Rex bound and gagged in the apartment. She finally allows him to have something to eat and drink. He tells her people will know he’s missing since he was supposed to be back at work that day. Sarah tells Rex that Maggie’s the one who killed her baby.
Lani assists Kristen, who’s hiding out. Kristen gets a cut-off message from Rex and deduces it has to be about Sarah — and Kristen’s baby. Kristen and Lani figure out Sarah and her baby must be in Paris with Rex. Lani enlists Theo to track down the location of Rex’s phone.
Eli realizes Lani is the one who helped Kristen escape. Lani returns to the police station, where she’s evasive with Eli about Kristen. Eli plays the video of Lani helping Kristen leave the Salem PD. Meanwhile, Theo contacts Kristen.
BABY BLUES
Eric has a dream about his baby and Nicole comforts him. She takes him on a family picnic, where Holly addresses him as “Daddy” for the first time. Eric realizes that while he lost his baby, he still has a family.
THIS KISS
Gabi tells Chad that she believes Stefan is alive. Later, she tracks Jake down at the garage. He tries to get her to leave; she kisses him. Meanwhile, Ben is attacked by goons who think he’s Jake.
Ciara is horrified to find him unconscious.
LIVING IT UP
Kayla tells Marlena that Steve moved in with Hope. Marlena probes Kayla about her feelings for Steve, but they are interrupted by Chad. Marlena admits to Chad that she doesn’t know when or whether Abigail will recover from the effects of the drug. Later, Abigail goes missing from her room. Meanwhile, Ciara informs Justin that Steve moved in with Hope. Justin asks Kayla why she didn’t let him know. He realizes she’s upset and says that she needs to work through her feelings.
Hope and Steve bond as they destroy the painting and the tiara, trying to exorcize the ghosts of Princess Gina and Stefano.
Is Ben suspicious of Jake (Brandon Barash, r.) after the attack on him? Robert Scott Wilson says:
“Absolutely. Ben’s already feeling a little bit on edge because this guy is saying he has no idea who Stefan is. And he’s not Stefan. But the whole thing is awkward. Ben’s thinking, ‘Who is this guy? Who am I spending my time with?’ ”
