IT WASN’T ME
Ava, Tripp, Allie, Kayla and Steve gather and it comes out that Ava thought Tripp killed Charlie, while Tripp thought Ava did it. They conclude the killer is still out there.
John apologizes to Jan for strangling her. Belle makes a deal with Jan, and gets her to sign a document promising she won’t press charges against John. When Belle’s about to leave, Jan compliments her coat, and notices a button is missing. Later, a matching button is shown in Rafe’s evidence bag.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
Lucas visits Sami at Marlena’s. He figures she’s heading back to Italy, but Sami admits she’s not sure what she has to go back to. She opens up about the state of her marriage and cries.
Lucas comforts her and they end up kissing.
Sami and Lucas wake up in bed together. A guiltridden Sami worries that EJ could find out. Lucas reminds Sami that Susan let him in last night. Sami sneaks Lucas out, but then comes face to face with Kristen, disguised as Susan. Busted, Sami presses “Susan” to keep her secret that she just had a one-night stand with Lucas.
Kristen agrees, and then uses Sami’s indiscretion to blackmail her. She threatens to tell all to EJ after revealing her true identity and her mission, which is to keep Brady away from Chloe. Sami balks at helping Kristen but later, Sami realizes she has no choice but to do Kristen’s bidding.
Chloe informs a surprised Nicole that she has feelings for Brady. Nicole urges Chloe to tell Brady about her feelings. Chloe comes clean to Brady, who leaves before he gives Chloe any indication what his feelings are for her.
BABY BLUES
Gwen talks to Jack about the possibility that she is pregnant by Chad. Abigail arrives in time to overhear the news that Gwen is, indeed, carrying her husband’s baby. Gwen admits she never
meant for this to happen. Abigail offers to take her to a clinic to terminate the pregnancy, but Jack intervenes, thinking Gwen needs time to process everything. Abigail warns Gwen that she better end the pregnancy. Later, Jack tells Gwen that he’ll support her decision, but when Gwen hesitates, he realizes she may want to keep the baby.
Chad and Theo catch up over a game of chess. Theo admits that after spending time with Ciara, his feelings for her have been rekindled. Abigail returns home and informs Chad that Gwen is pregnant with his child.
LETTER CARRIER
Justin visits Ciara and brings her a letter from Victor. In the letter, Victor indicates he is happy Ciara doesn’t remember Ben. Ciara is upset that she had a previous life with a serial killer. Justin admits Ben is a changed man, mostly due to
his relationship with Ciara, but she thinks forgetting her life with Ben is for the best.
Ben receives a visit from Jake, who once again suggests that Ben try the memory serum. Ben is hesitant, but finally agrees.
PLAN AHEAD
Philip calls Gabi out on flirting with him in front of Kate and Jake the other night; Gabi admits she’s still hung up on Jake. Philip admits he’s in a similar boat with his feelings for Chloe, but thinks a way they could both move on is to go out on a date with each other. Gabi agrees.
GO AWAY
Ben is about to inject Ciara with the memory-enhancing drug but Theo interrupts and wrestles the syringe away from him. Ciara returns her wedding picture to Ben and tells him one last time to get out. After, a grateful Ciara kisses Theo.
A LITTLE ROMANCE
Sami tells Lucas that Kristen is masquerading as Susan and knows they slept together. She adds that Kristen is threatening to tell EJ the truth unless Sami keeps Chloe away from Brady, so Lucas will have to romance Chloe.
Chloe excoriates “Susan” for letting Brady know that she has feelings for him. Chloe reveals she and Brady had a heart-to-heart, and Kristen is appalled when Chloe says Brady didn’t deny reciprocating those feelings.
DATE SIGHT
Jake is upset in spite of himself when he learns Gabi and Philip are on a date. He covers with Kate. They go to lunch and accidentally cross paths with Gabi and Philip. Kate is rattled when she realizes Jake knew about their date and didn’t tell her.
