BE COOL

Chelsea worries that Victor may have already set the wheels in motion to take Connor away from her. As Chelsea contemplates her next move,

Chloe discourages her pal from confessing to poisoning Rey.

Nick, Victor and Nikki debate how to make Faith’s kidney transplant happen while Adam is hiding from the police. When they confide in Nate that Adam is the potential donor, the doc states that he’ll perform the surgery if Adam and Faith are a match. In her hospital room, Faith admits to Nate that she wishes Adam wasn’t giving her a kidney. Sharon tries to assuage Faith’s fears.

PICK AND CHOOSE

Adam promises Sharon that he’ll be out of her life for good once he donates the kidney. Adam overhears Nick tell Rey that once the surgery is over, Rey can do what he wants with Adam. Meanwhile, Chelsea storms the Newman

ranch and confronts Victor. Victor vows to expose Chelsea; he can also be her ally — or not.

Nate confirms that Adam is a compatible donor. Rey informs Adam that he’ll be arrested after his surgery. Faith requests to speak to Adam. He asks his niece to think of what he’s doing as an apology for his past misdeeds toward her and her family. As Faith is prepped for surgery, Sharon asks Rey if there’s hope for their marriage. They’re interrupted by a call from Victor, who wants Rey to come to the ranch.

HERE TO THERE

Moses asks Devon if he can skip his afternoon classes so he can be at the hospital after Faith’s surgery. In the hospital

waiting area, Phyllis and Nikki connect when Phyl discloses that she’s been updating Noah on Faith’s progress. Nick tells Sharon that he has an idea about what he wants to pitch to Adam regarding his escape. Later, Nate announces that the transplant went well and now they’re waiting for Faith’s body to accept the new kidney.

TRUTH BE TOLD

At the ranch, Chelsea confesses to Rey that she poisoned him, and blames her suspicion that Adam and Sharon were having an affair for driving her over the edge. Michael and Dr. Hedges, a psychiatrist, arrive and Chelsea explains that she recovered her strength after her stroke. Dr. Hedges suggests that Chelsea be placed under his care at a psychiatric hospital. Rey and Michael confirm for Victor that Adam is cleared of any crimes. Once Rey and Michael leave, Victor assures Chelsea that she’ll be sent to a psychiatric hospital instead of prison. Chelsea makes Victor promise to help her start over once she stages her recovery. After she’s taken to the psychiatric hospital, Chelsea appears angry in her hospital bed.

FREE AND CLEAR

As Adam recovers from surgery, Nate tells his patient that he’s been given a second chance.

Rey updates Nick and Sharon that Chelsea confessed to poisoning him.

Rey asks Sharon if there was more than just a kiss between her and Adam. She fears their marriage is truly over.

A NEW LEAF

Victor informs Adam that Chelsea confessed to poisoning Rey. Later, Sharon asks Adam if he was going to turn himself in.

In his hospital room, Adam dreams that he is playing a chess game with Victor, where the outcome will determine how he moves on. He imagines encounters with the significant people in his life advising him on how to proceed. After waking up, Adam tells Sharon that he’s letting her go so she and Rey can reconcile. Adam pledges to Victor that he won’t let his father down. Nick shares with Phyllis that he’s cautiously optimistic about Adam turning his life around.

?? ?? Does Chelsea regret framing an innocent man, even if it’s Adam? Melissa Claire Egan answers:
“No, not really. She made her choice to go with this plan and she never looked back. Something in her head snapped and she has no remorse, which is a scary thing for a person not to feel.”
