learns her plot to push Brooke off the wagon worked, and her rival’s life is in shambles because of it. “Well, it took long enough for her to find all this out,” chuckles Kimberlin Brown (Sheila). “And when Deacon finally spills the beans to her, Sheila is thrilled. She thinks to herself, ‘Good! Brooke deserves this.’ How dare she keep Sheila away from her son and her grandson? She has no right to do that. She was just so tired of Brooke being so high and mighty.”
Despite the time it took for Sheila to learn about Brooke’s fall from grace, “It was definitely worth the wait,” says the actress. “To think that a woman like Brooke, with the history she has, it was like calling the kettle black. It was a great opportunity for her to turn the tables on Brooke and with a little push, Brooke brought all of this on herself.”
As for Deacon, “He was a big influencer in her doing what she did,” points out Brown. “It’s not so much about Deacon getting back with Brooke, knowing his feelings for her, but it gave Sheila the opportunity to plant a seed which bloomed into a horrible disaster. It couldn’t have come together more beautifully.”
Now, Sheila wants to focus on her relationship with her kin. “Deacon has made wonderful progress with Hope,” she notes. “Sheila is hoping that could happen with her and Finn and Hayes. Taylor has been very helpful with that, and in Sheila’s own way, making all of this happen is a thank-you to Taylor — so if Brooke were to fall off the wagon and do inappropriate things like kissing Deacon, then it’s the first step along the way.”
