CROSS TO BEAR
Julie visits Ben and Ciara. She notes that her cross isn’t on the wall, and they explain that it kept turning upside down. Julie feels that’s a bad sign and wonders if the devil is still in Salem. Later, Ben and Ciara think of all the people who visited and hit upon Johnny, who brought the cross to them. The Westons wonder if Johnny could now be possessed. They call Susan Banks, but the call goes to voicemail.
DOUBLE DEALINGS
Jake is unhappy to find Gabi with Johnny, who suggests they call a meeting while Tony and Chad are out of town and feigns support for making Jake CEO of Dimera. Johnny then sends a text to Jake — purportedly from Maggie — that seems to affirm to Gabi that Jake is plotting behind her back. An unsuspecting Jake leaves to meet with Maggie as Johnny goads Gabi into continuing to double-cross Jake.
PROTECTION PLAN
Nicole insists to Melinda that Ava set up Rafe. After an unswayed Melinda goes into the courtroom, Nicole poses as a reporter to try to talk to one of the witnesses against Rafe. Melinda catches Nicole in the witness room and accuses Nicole of witness tampering. She advises Nicole to get a lawyer.
TRUST ISSUES
Jake learns from Maggie that she never texted him. Jake returns to Gabi and explains that he believes that Johnny is the one who actually texted him. Gabi’s dubious, but Jake decides to focus on pleasure rather than business. Gabi pulls away, saying she wants to check on Rafe.
BEAU REGARD
Chloe nervously waits with Brady to meet Craig’s new boyfriend. Craig joins them and Brady and Chloe are shocked when Craig’s boyfriend arrives ... and it’s
Leo Stark. They immediately inform Craig of Leo’s past misdeeds and warn him that Leo is just after his money. Leo insists he’s truly in love, and Craig agrees.
LOVE LINES
Eli and Lani celebrate a romantic Valentine’s Day at home. Chanel drops by and confides what happened with Allie, Tripp and Johnny. They comfort her .... Paulina receives flowers from TR and beelines to his place to return them. TR apologizes for the past and asks Paulina for another chance. Paulina softens somewhat, and TR urges her to think about it.
TONY AWARD
Chad and Tony fly to the Dimera private island to find Abigail. Tony mentions to Chad he spent time on the island years ago with Renee.
Abigail and Sarah chat. When Sarah learns Abigail is married to a Dimera, she’s hopeful she’ll be reunited with Tony soon. She gets her wish when Chad arrives and is reunited with Abigail. Sarah embraces Tony.
DINING IN
Kristen persuades Steve and Kayla to enjoy the romantic Valentine’s Day dinner she had prepared for their anniversary. They reminisce, then decide to take a chance on the food and drink, since Kristen had the chance to drug them earlier and didn’t. Later, Kristen returns, informing them that this time, she did.
HOMEFRONT
Jennifer joins Jack in Salem, awaiting news on Abigail. She also publishes an article in The Spectator on their daughter’s disappearance, which unnerves Ava and Gwen. A frantic Anna arrives chez Horton and asks if anyone has heard from Chad and Tony. Xander stops by to ask Jack to be his best man. Jack agrees, but Anna makes her feelings for Xander known.
TOGETHER AGAIN
Tony is rocked to learn Sarah believes she’s Renee Dumonde. Sarah asks everyone to join her for a Valentine’s Day feast. Before heading to dinner, Abigail tells Chad it was Ava behind the Sarah mask at the airport. Meanwhile, Kristen psychologically tortures Steve and Kayla by telling them she poisoned their food with a drug that would rob them of their memories. Steve manages to get the jump on Kristen and subdues her. While Abigail, Chad, Sarah and Tony enjoy their meal, Steve and Kayla rush in and warn them not to eat the food. Everyone is relieved when Sarah informs them that she poured out the drug Kristen planned to use on them. Later, Abigail and Chad retrieve Renee’s diary in order to help Sarah. Sarah tells Tony she can’t wait to return to Salem so he can divorce Anna.
Steve and Kayla return to the bunker and discover Kristen has managed to escape.
