OVER DUO: Massimo Marone and Sheila Carter
ROMANCE REPORT: Ridge’s bio dad, Massimo, met Sheila at a restaurant in August of 2002. Glum that he had failed to win back Stephanie, he flirted with the beautiful brunette, who refused to disclose her name. They met up several more times and in September, shared a night of passion in his penthouse, with Massimo still blissfully in the dark about her identity (and lengthy rap sheet). Sheila slipped back to the penthouse to surprise Massimo, but panicked when she saw Steph leaving the premises. Eager to get out of town, Sheila called Massimo to accept his offer to sail away with him on his yacht — but Stephanie heard her voice on the phone and spilled the beans to Massimo about who his new paramour really was. In October, Steph and Massimo caught up to Sheila while she was holding Amber at gunpoint and she fired her weapon at him while making her getaway. Sheila ended up in jail but escaped and in 2003, kidnapped Ridge and Nick in South America and lured Massimo to a meeting, where she accused him of betraying her — then introduced him to baby Diana, who she claimed was the result of their tryst. Sheila managed to flee with Diana, whose fate remains unknown.
