OVER DUO: Sonny Corinthos and Olivia Falconeri
ROMANCE REPORT: We all know that Sonny and
Olivia had a thing back in their Bensonhurst days
— a thing that resulted in their son, Dante, who
Olivia birthed when she was 15. But the pair’s short-lived romantic redux in 2013 doesn’t get discussed much. It kicked off when Sonny’s on-again, off-again relationship with Connie (Olivia’s cousin) was off again due to her pesky alternate personality. As Sonny leaned on Liv as a confidante, their feelings for one another began to grow, and they shared a kiss on the 4th of July. When Connie decided she wanted Sonny back, Olivia stepped aside. Shortly thereafter, Connie was the victim of a gruesome murder, and Sonny and Olivia were devastated. Olivia stood by Sonny when, in the throes of his grief, he went off his meds, and before long, they fell into bed. They began living together, but Sonny was harboring two major secrets from Olivia: He had murdered A.J. (who he falsely believed was Connie’s killer), and had cheated on her with Ava (the real killer). Olivia figured out that he’d cheated on her and, in May 2014, she confronted him about his betrayal, railed at him for breaking her heart and ended their fling.
