Chanel Catches Allie With Alex
Allie and Alex panic when Chanel arrives home unexpectedly, interrupting their secret tryst. Alex manages to hide before he can be discovered. “Chanel’s there to make up and to take accountability for all the stuff that’s been happening with Johnny,” explains her portrayer, Raven Bowens. “She’s honest about everything that has occurred and what her feelings are for Johnny, but she also reassures Allie about how much she loves her.”
Allie, in turn, declares her love to Chanel, and the two women come together. However, their reconciliation hits a snag when Alex’s phone rings. “Allie tries to cover and says it’s her phone, but Chanel’s like, ‘Wait. Did you change your ring tone? I’ve never heard that sound before,’ ” recounts Bowens. “Chanel is smart. So she grabs her own phone and calls Alex. His phone goes off, and Chanel is like, ‘Alex, come out.’ ”
Alex emerges and “tries to speak for Allie, cover for her,” notes Bowens. “Chanel kicks him out. She doesn’t know what to think.
She’s been uncomfortable with how much time the two of them have been spending together and how Allie has been confiding in Alex instead of her. So she’s battling that as well as her own insecurities, but ultimately can’t deny what’s right in front of her face.”
After Chanel kicks Alex out, Allie admits the truth: She slept with him. “This is a betrayal, and Chanel feels very hurt,” contends Bowens.
But can their relationship be saved? “This feels unforgivable to Chanel, and when you break trust like this, it’s hard to get it back,” the actress points out. “But Chanel also has a very forgiving heart. She and Allie have a really great love that could potentially be saved, but it would take a lot of work on Allie’s part.”
