BINDING CONTRACT

Devil Doug pressures Marlena to accept his deal: He’ll void Kate and Kayla’s contracts if Marlena willingly agrees to spend all of eternity with him in hell. Marlena hesitates, but ultimately agrees.

Kate and Kayla react with disbelief when Nick says their husbands are plotting to kill Orpheus. When Nick leaves, Kate asks Kayla how she managed to reach Steve last night. Kayla gives Kate a few pointers, and Kate is eventually able to speak to a stunned Roman, who hears her voice coming from her urn. Kate begs Roman not to kill Orpheus. Marlena returns and reveals the deal she made with the devil.

Roman tells Anna what Kate said to him — and

explains the plot to kill Orpheus. Anna urges Roman to put a stop to it, and he takes off for Statesville. There, he runs into Lucas and asks him to take him to the infirmary so he can prevent John and Steve from making a huge mistake. Meanwhile, John and Steve get the jump on Orpheus when he comes in for his shift. They strap him down to the hospital bed and prepare to inject him with morphine.

Back in heaven, Nick is about to usher Kate, Kayla

and Marlena off to hell when he’s interrupted by Jake Dimera. Jake reveals that he’s come to stop Nick since the women are still alive!
