Canela (ex-arturo, Y&R) became a father to a daughter, Jovie, on February 10. “Words cannot describe this feeling,” the actor posted on Instagram. “Thank you @janaarc for being so divinely strong, watching you give birth to our Jovie Rose just the way we envisioned was nothing short of a miraculous blessing thank you to all of our friends and family that have showered us with so much love these last 9 months. I can’t wait to just be there for every single moment of my baby girls life, thank you God for it all!”

■ In Memoriam: Cody Longo, who played DAYS’S Nicholas Alamain for a handful of episodes in 2011 and starred as Eddie in the prime-time sudser HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS, has died at the age of 34. According to reports, the actor’s wife, Stephanie, asked police to check in on him when she couldn’t reach him, and he was found dead in his bed. In addition to Stephanie, Longo leaves behind three children. His HH co-star Melissa Ordway (ex-chloe; Abby, Y&R) posted, “At a loss for words at the passing of Cody Longo. We went on a wild, 80 episode adventure together called Hollywood Heights. So many memories and lots of laughs.
