HAPPY RETURN

John brings Marlena home to Salem, and calls Eric and Belle over to share the good news. They are stunned to see Marlena is alive. Sensing the tension between the duo, Marlena asks them to put their differences aside and they comply.

GREECE IS THE WORD

Steve leaves his interrogation of Megan to inform Stephanie that Kayla is alive. After, he presses Megan to tell him who took Kayla from the island, but Megan wants a deal in order to share the info.

Andrew tells Hope and Harris about Megan’s capture and that Kate and Kayla are alive. Hope demands the chance to question Megan. Once together, Megan doesn’t reveal to Hope that Bo is alive.

Bo drags Kayla to Victor’s childhood home in Greece as he plans to follow in his father’s footsteps and build his own empire. Kayla reminds Bo that he has his own humble beginnings and a family that loves him, but Bo won’t be deterred, so Kayla demands to be set free. Bo refuses and shows Kayla that he has Rolf’s notes and the orchid, and asserts that he needs her to unlock its potential. After Bo leaves, Kayla finds her brother’s burner phone and makes contact with Stephanie. She reveals that she’s in Greece. Before Kayla can say more, Bo snatches the phone out of her hands and smashes it. Stephanie calls Steve to update him.

Hope learns from Andrew that Harris has been released.

FIGHTING WORDS

Leo walks in on Alex and Gwen in bed. After Alex leaves, Leo tells Gwen he thinks Xander and Chloe are involved. Gwen is skeptical.

Rachel and Chloe learn Marlena is alive. Brady tries to parlay the good news

into a bonding moment, but Rachel pushes all of Chloe’s buttons. She tells Chloe she hates her and finally gets Chloe to blurt that she hates Rachel, too. After, Chloe is joined by Xander as she drowns her sorrows. Later, Gwen becomes upset when she walks in on Xander and Chloe embracing.

TAKING NOTES

Paulina confronts Sloan about the threatening note she found in her office. Sloan denies knowing anything about it. Eric defends Sloan. Later, Eric’s suspicions are aroused when he sees a pile of magazines and a pair of scissors under Sloan’s laptop.

Chanel crosses with Xander, who calls Alex a homewrecker for sleeping with Allie. Alex and Xander nearly come to blows again, but Chanel breaks it up. After Alex and Xander leave, Paulina arrives and lets Chanel know about the threatening note. Chanel guilts her mother into going to her doctor’s appointment. Later, Chanel tells Leo that she has a scoop for Lady Whistleblower.

DINNER FOR TWO?

Talia pushes Jada to put herself out there romantically and suggests Rafe. Meanwhile, Abe senses Rafe might have feelings for Jada and reminds him of the new department dating policy. Later, Talia senses an opportunity to push Jada and Rafe to have dinner together.

PANIC MODE

Paulina goes to the hospital for her panic attacks. Tripp overhears her lying to Abe about where she is, then checks her out. During the exam, Paulina asks

Tripp to date Chanel. Tripp mentions he’s attracted to Wendy, but she’s taken. Paulina advises him not to give up so easily. Later, Tripp finally admits to Wendy that he has feelings for her. Johnny informs Li that he intends to ask Wendy to be exclusive. Meanwhile, Wendy is taken aback by Tripp’s admission. Wendy can’t deny she likes Tripp as more than a friend but points out she’s dating Johnny. Undeterred, Tripp asks her out on a date. Later, Wendy surprises Tripp and Johnny by accepting Tripp’s offer.

Abe learns Paulina is suffering from panic attacks, and that she received another threatening message. He heads to confront Sloan, only to find Eric as they discuss the acrimony between the women in their lives. Meanwhile, Paulina and Sloan have another toxic run-in, and Paulina suffers a second panic attack after learning Sloan is filing a restraining order against her. Paulina manages to calm herself and heads home to Abe. Later, she receives a threatening text message.
