LOUNGE ACT
At the GCAC Lounge, Chance questions Diane about her earlier fight with Phyllis. Daniel and Summer return with the news that Phyllis’s ambulance never arrived at Memorial Hospital. Later, Chance receives word that there has been an accident reported involving an ambulance.
In the GCAC lounge, Leanna tries to get dish from Jeremy; Nick escorts her out. Chance receives word that Phyllis was on board the ambulance that crashed and that the accident caused an explosion. Sharon tells Nick she sincerely hopes Phyllis will be okay, as Daniel reflects on his last encounter with Phyllis and Danny tries to comfort him.
THUNDER STORM
In the Abbott living room, Ashley turns down Tucker’s marriage proposal, but he in turn suggests that they use their engagement as a ploy to steal Jack and Diane’s thunder.
DOWN BY LAW
Victor informs Audra and Victoria that Devon is dropping his lawsuit against Chancellor-winters. Victor and Nikki take their leave; Victoria offers to buy Tucker a drink. Tucker questions Victoria about her desire to acquire Mccall Unlimited. During their chat, Victoria changes her mind and rescinds her offer.
DEAD RINGER
Chance questions EMT Carson about the events of the ambulance accident. Carson tells Chance that he drew Phyllis’s blood before she was killed in the crash; Chance tells a fellow officer that he will need a court order to test Phyllis’s blood. After speaking with Carson, Chance informs Summer and Daniel that Phyllis did not survive the crash.
Nick tells Sharon that he suspects Stark could have been involved in Phyllis’s death. Nick, Jack and Danny reflect on their relationships with Phyllis and later, Stark tells Jack that he will not allow him and Diane to get
away with what they have done to Phyllis.
Summer tells Ashley that Phyllis is dead; Ashley and Kyle take care of Summer. Later, Kyle tells Ashley that he thinks Summer is going to get a lot worse before she gets better. At the same time, Daniel tells Stark at the GCAC lounge that he will make him pay for what he did to Phyllis.
COMFORT IN
At Crimson Lights, Billy tells Chelsea that he heard the news that Phyllis died. Chelsea invites him to sleep on her couch so he does not have to be alone.
In his suite, Daniel expresses his guilt to Danny about the hurtful things he said to Phyllis before she died. While Daniel is showering, Danny calls Lily and tells her that Daniel is not in a good place. Later, Lily comforts Daniel.
THE MORNING AFTER
At the Abbott living room, Ashley makes a pointed comment to Diane and Jack about their engagement. Summer accuses Diane of getting what she always wanted by Phyllis dying and afterward, Jack reassures Diane that he believes she had nothing to do with Phyllis’s death. Later, Kyle promises Summer that he will help her through her pain.
In a motel room, Phyllis, alive and well, tells a mystery figure that it took them long enough to return.
On the morning after the gala, Chance and Christine discuss Phyllis’s death. After, Michael plays a voicemail for Christine that Phyllis left for him the night of the party, expressing her fear of Diane after their fight. Christine expresses incredulity that now as Genoa City’s district attorney she must find justice for her former enemy Phyllis.
Summer tells Jack and Kyle that she intends to start planning Phyllis’s memorial service. Nikki and Victor offer condolences to Summer; Victor expresses his suspicions to Jack about the mystery surrounding Phyllis’s death.
Nick opens up to Sally about his relationship with Phyllis, as Sharon does the same with Chance.
At the motel room, Stark pays off EMT Carson for lying to the police about the ambulance accident. Stark tells Phyllis she needs to move on from her life in Genoa City now that she has successfully faked her death. Later, Phyllis notices an alert on her phone saying that a memorial service for her will be announced soon.
