This was a contest of consistent volleying and strong line-drive serves. The North Penn girls volleyball team used its stellar game at the net to beat Souderton in three straight matches — 25-12, 25-9, 25-21 — in a Suburban One Continental match Thursday.

Maidens coach Bryan Yost was proud of his team after the impressive victory.

“We had a game plan in place to not make any mistakes and to work hard and have a cohesive unit,” he said.

North Penn senior Stephanie Elechko was the star of the match with four aces — 90 percent in and 15 kills.

“Our goal is to always go out there and minimize our errors, play our best and work as a team,” Elechko said. “Even those who don’t get a lot of playing time work really hard.”

But, these are great girls. We will probably get it together on Oct. 19, our last game and our season will be over.”
