GALEON 485 HTS

Another addition to the Galeon lineup is the 485 HTS (hardtop sport cruiser). Sculpted with aggressive and sporty lines, the 485 HTS looks as if it’s moving even when tied to the dock.

Belowdecks are a galley and dinette in the main saloon, which is connected to two staterooms. The master is amidships with a queen-size island berth, and the guest stateroom is in the bow. There are two enclosed heads with showers.

Under the swooping hardtop is the bridge deck, home to a starboard-oriented helm, a C-shaped lounge set around a dining table, and a console with a fridge and sink. Glass creates a connected feeling to nature, and the power- opening windows and sunroof enhance cross ventilation. The well-protected aft cockpit has a U-shaped lounge that con- verts to a sunpad. Under it, and accessible from the swim platform, is a tender garage.

A variety of engine and drivetrain choices are available. Galeon outfitted its demo model with a pair of 435-hp Volvo Penta D6 diesels mated to IPS600 pod drives. Expect a top speed of 30 knots and a 25-knot cruise.
