South Bend area IHSAA boys basketball regional sites and times are set
Less than two hours after all the boys basketball sectional championship games finished Saturday, the IHSAA released the sites and times for regional games this Saturday, March 9.
Six teams from the South Bend area will be competing for hardware. In Class 4A, Mishawaka (19-7) will face East Chicago Central (22-4) at Michigan City High School at 5 p.m.
South Bend Washington will host two games. The first is a Class 1A battle between Marquette Catholic (11-15) and Demotte Christian (19-7) at 4 p.m., followed by an all-Northern Indiana Conference Class 3A affair between Saint Joseph (17-9) and John Glenn (13-13) at 7 p.m.
One other Class 3A team from the area, Fairfield (19-6), will be traveling to Triton High School to face Hammond Bishop Noll (20-7) at 7 p.m.
Finally, Elkhart Christian (16-9) will make the trek to North Judson-San Pierre to take on Tri-County (14-11) at 5 p.m.
Both North Judson and Michigan City are in the central time zone, meaning they’re 4 p.m. local starts/5 p.m. ET.
Here are all the statewide regional matchups and times. Regional winners will advance to the four-team semistate tournament March 16 at sites later to be announced.
