SOUTH BEND — Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana will offer the free class “When Is It Time?” from 10 to 11 a.m. March 18 in the Care Partner Academy. MISHAWAKA — Battell Community

• Cardio Drumming — Combines dance and fitness. All skill levels are welcome. 6:30 p.m. Mondays; 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost: $5 per class.

GOSHEN — Chair Yoga will be offered by the Elkhart County Parks at 9:30 a.m. March 21 in the Ox Bow Haus Shelter in Ox Bow Park, 23033 County Road 45. Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is done while seated or using a chair for balance. Wear comfortabl­e clothing. Some mats are available; bring your own if you have one. This is a free class for those 12 years and older. No registrati­on is required.

NILES — The Niles District Library,

620 E. Main St., is offering a beginner yoga class, every other Monday, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Community Room. The class is for adults age 18 years and older and all levels of experience are welcome. Bring a mat and wear comfortabl­e clothing that allows movement. There is no registrati­on required and admission is free. The instructor is Sam Major from Dancing Feet Yoga. The next class will be March 18.

SOUTH BEND — Self-Healing Communitie­s of Greater Michiana will present “Understand­ing Our Nervous System and our Need for Connection” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 19 at St. Joseph County Public Library, River Park Branch, 2022 Mishawaka Ave. This talk will explore the intricacie­s of the “fight or flight” and “rest and digest” systems, also known as the sympatheti­c and parasympat­hetic nervous systems. These systems play a crucial role in shaping daily experience­s and responses. Additional­ly, the discussion will delve into the neurobiolo­gical need for human connection and meaningful relationsh­ips.

ELKHART — Enjoy hiking a different park trail every month, make new friends, get a little exercise, and glimpse

the bounty of nature at every curve and corner. The Hiking Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month through October. On March 19, meet at 6 p.m. and take a 1.6-mile hike through the beauty of Bonneyvill­e Mill County Park, 53373 County Road 131, Bristol. Meet at the Baldwin One Room Schoolhous­e. This month’s guest speaker is Kim Becker, founder of HELLO Gorgeous, presenting “Discover Your Inner Radiance: Exploring Beauty and Self-Care in the Face of Cancer.” All are welcome including current patients, family members and cancer support advocates.
