South Florida Sun-Sentinel Palm Beach (Sunday)
Soak in the luxury
Fourteen high-end spas offer half-off treatments this month. Doreen’s Deals.
It’s been a long, hot summer. Why not kick back and relax at one of South Florida’s many luxurious spas when Sunny.org’s Spatember promotion kicks off this Labor Day weekend.
The program, running through Sept. 30, offers 50 percent or more savings on a host of treatments for $99. Choose from massages and reflexology, facials, manicures and pedicures, exfoliations and wraps. Offers also include access to hotel amenities, private pools, relaxation rooms, saunas and steam rooms. See the deals at Sunny.org/Spatember.
The new Conrad Spa Fort Lauderdale Beach, one of 14 participating spots, is offering a blissful 90-minute head-to-toe Swedish massage, which also includes face massage and mask. The treatment is a bargain since it normally is $240.
Or, have a deluxe manicure and pedicure at Spa Q at the nearby Hilton. Or, maybe try a 50-minute facial with scalp and eye treatment at the Diplomat Spa in Hollywood. Oh, what to choose, what to choose.
Other palaces of pampering on the list include the Spa at Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club in Fort Lauderdale, SiSpa at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort, Spa Atlantic at the Atlantic Hotel and St. Somewhere Spa at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.
I look forward to this promotion every year. Trust me, being busy is seriously overrated. Last year, my psyche was in need of serious storm restoration after Hurricane Irma, so I headed over to the Red Door Salon and Spa at the Galleria in Fort Lauderdale. I chose the 80-minute Escape Swedish Massage, which included an aromatic therapeutic scalp massage. It was pure bliss. The staff was fantastic and the services were divine.
You will likely work up an appetite after all that relaxing and rejuvenating.
