Upscale eatery planned; workers wanted

A Texas-based restaurant chain is seeking 150 staff members for the October opening of its first South Florida location in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Del Frisco’s Grille is accepting job applicatio­ns every Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at its new location at 501 Las Olas Blvd., Suite 150, or online at any time at Delfriscos­grille.com, according to a news release by its parent company, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group.

Available positions include servers, bartenders, food runners, bussers, hosts and hostesses, dish machine operators, line and prep cooks, and broilers. The company offers medical, dental and vision plan and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributi­ons for all hourly employees, the company said.

The news release describes Del Frisco’s Grille Fort Lauderdale as “a stylish, modern restaurant with a vibrant ambiance” that will serve a “thoughtful menu,” including “hand- cut steaks,

freshly-caught seafood and craveable, shareable dishes such as the signature Cheesestea­k Eggrolls and Artichoke Beignets.”

Del Frisco’s Grille is open i n 24 l ocations throughout the United States, including one other Florida location, in Tampa. A sister brand, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, is open in 15 locations, including on Internatio­nal Drive in Orlando. A third brand in the chain, Sullivan’s Steakhouse, has 14 locations but none in Florida.

The Fort Lauderdale lo- cation will be open seven days a week for dinner, and Monday through Saturday for lunch, the release said. It will also serve brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p. m . The 8,083-square-foot Fort Lauderdale location will seat more than 274 guests.
