Not-for-profit Go Broward, Inc., kicks off its Broward Penny for Transportation campaign with fundraiser.
Go Broward, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)4 that wants to change the way you get from point A to point B in Broward County.
The organization kicked off its Broward Penny for Transportation campaign on Sept. 5 with a fundraiser at the luxury aircraft terminal of Banyan Air Services at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
The initiative promotes a surtax designed to solve the community’s biggest traffic problems, funding development of adaptive traffic signalization, sidewalk and ADA updates, school zone safety improvements, more transportation options for seniors, bike lanes, routes to support new and improved transit service, a light rail system, resiliency projects to combat rising sea levels and more.
