Cocktails for Humanity supports Broward libraries
Every month, General Provision FAT Village hosts Cocktails for Humanity to raise money for a different charity. The Broward Public Library Foundation partnered with the organization for the third year in a row on Sept. 29, raising $4,000.
More than 400 guests enjoyed beer, wine and cocktails served by volunteer bartenders including Broward County Mayor Beam Furr, Broward Center for the Performing Arts Grants Manager Christi
Lyn Rice, Broward College Central Campus President Sunem Beaton-Garcia and Easy 93.1 Morning Show Co-host Jeff Martin.
The event supports programs such as Books ‘N’ Bears at the holidays, which provides a book and a teddy bear to more than 2,000 disadvantaged preschool children.
