Duane Morris LLP announced that Patrick
Gallagher, a partner based in the Boca Raton office, has been appointed chair of the firm’s pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals litigation and regulatory group. In the past, Gallagher was president of PCG Equine Research Inc. at the University of Kentucky, where he researched spinal skeletal disorders in horses and the genetic and biopharmaceutical impacts. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law, and his Ph.D. in molecular genetics from the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Jay Cohen, a 21-year staffing industry veteran was named president of TechServe Alliance’s board of directors, the national trade association representing IT and engineering staffing firms and solutions firms. Cohen is founder and chief executive officer of the IT staffing solutions firm Signature Consultants 21, in Fort Lauderdale. Cohen has been a member of the Alliance’s board of directors for two years, most recently serving as its vice president. His one-year term as its president begins January 2019.

The Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America has announced Shanna
Richardson as its new assistant scout executive/ chief operating officer, in West Palm Beach. Richardson launched her career in Ogden, Utah, in 2001 as a ScoutReach paraprofessional. The ScoutReach program serves youth that are the hardest to reach, specifically at-risk youth. Since 2006 Richardson has worked for the Central Florida Council in various positions including field director, development, and senior field director.

Joshua D. Lenchus, D.O., has been named chief medical officer of Broward Health Medical Center. In the past, Lenchus worked for six years as chief of staff at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He previously was with Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University of Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital as an internal medicine physician. He was also a former associate program director for the UM/Jackson Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Elliott Elias, M.D., MPH, an expert in interventional echocardiography, has joined Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida cardiovascular facility.
The North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners, which oversees Broward Health, elected its officers at the October board meeting. Andrew M. Klein was re-elected chairman, Christopher Ure was re-elected vice chair, and Ray Berry was re-elected secretary/treasurer. Additional board members are Steven A.

The Realtors of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale recognized
Tara Quailey as Young Professional Realtor of the Year at its annual year-end awards meeting. The organization represents an area from St. Lucie to Miami-Dade counties with over 33,000 Realtors. The award is given to a Realtor member, age 40 or under, who has distinguished themself by their contribution to the profession, their Association, the image of Realtors and to the community at large. Quailey is an associate at Related ISG in Fort Lauderdale and was recently named salesperson of the month, and finished fifth in closed transactions for her company’s latest year end.
