Curry re­turns af­ter 11-game ab­sence

Coach Steve Kerr said G Steph Curry would re­turn to the lineup Satur­day night against the Pistons af­ter missing 11 games with a groin in­jury.

Curry will not be on a min­utes re­stric­tion. How­ever, Kerr said he would ad­just his ro­ta­tion in the first and third quar­ters. Curry usu­ally plays the en­tirety of those quar­ters, but Kerr said that would not be the case Satur­day night.

Curry had been out since be­ing in­jured Nov. 8 against the Bucks. He’s av­er­ag­ing 29.5 points and 6.1 as­sists in 12 games this season.

The War­riors will be with­out Dray­mond Green, who has missed seven games with a sore toe.

The Pistons had won the first four games of their six-game home­s­tand.

The Bulls cleared F Lauri Markka­nen to make his season de­but against the Rockets. He had missed the first 23 games with a right el­bow in­jury. ... The Lak­ers’ LeBron James av­er­aged 28.3 points in Novem­ber, the sixth time he has av­er­aged 28 or more in that month.
