He may have been drunk or high or just really forgetful but Davie police are calling him a burglar— and they hope someone can identify the man seen in a surveill a n c e v i d e o st u mb l i n g around a house.

The man is seen staggering in circles around a car parked in a driveway in the Forest Ridge community, and he repeatedly tries to open each of the four doors without luck, police said.

The video shows him doing a couple of laps clockwise, then a few more counterclockwise, tugging at the door handles, while motion detectors turn on security lights outside the house with each pass.

The exercise in futility happened late at night on Dec. 9, police said.

A separate security camera recorded him on video awkwardly climbing over a backyard fence.

The man is described as being in his late teens, with a light complexion, wearing a varsity-style jacket with light-colored sleeves. He has long hair that was kept in a man-bun style, the video showed.

Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the man or has any information about him to contact the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
