Former school swim coach pleads guilty

A former swim coach accused of inappropriately touching a girl has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple battery.

Eric Hill, 42, became the focus of an investigation at Boca Raton Community High School last year when a teenage girl on the water polo team t o l d a u t h o r i t i e s Hi l l grabbed her butt on multiple occasions. According to the School District Police report, the girl told Hill to stop.

“She said she told him after one of the incidents where he grabbed her butt that he was making her feel uncomfortable. She said he apologized,” a police affidavit said. “She said despite the fact that she had asked him to stop, he didn’t seem inclined to do so and she felt he was escalating his advances toward her.”

The school district did not renew Hill’s contract when it expired in June.
