A first look at Season 4 of ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’
The fourth season of Bravo’s “Below Deck Mediterranean” has a launch date.
The popular yachtie reality series returns 9 p.m. June 3, according to the cable network which released a trailer.
The new season, which brings back captain Sandy Yawn who has a residence in Plantation, will be set in the French Riviera. The yachties will be working aboard the 154-foot mega yacht Sirocco where they’ll be providing five-star service to their sometimes high-maintenance and highly-dramatic charter guests.
But the drama also extends below deck as the show chronicles the romances and clashes among the crew members.
“South of France is a playground for the wealthiest people in the world,” said returning chief stew Hannah Ferrier in the teaser.
Ferrier joins bosun João Franco, and deckhand Colin Macy-O’Toole who were both featured in the show’s third season in
Italy.
The trailer also introduced some new cast members. They are second steward Aesha Scott; third steward Anastasia Surmava; deckhand Travis Michalzik; deckhand Jack Stirrup, and chef Mila Kolomeitseva, the first female chef in the “Below Deck” franchise history.
What can viewers expect this season? The preview highlighted Ferrier, who was almost fired by Yawn last season for letting her onboard romance with a crew member affect her duties. Ferrier said her top priority will be her job and working harder to prove her value to the captain.
Franco, who was promoted to bosun from senior deckhand last season, seems to have trouble managing his new deckhands.
“It’s not up to you to decide whether you f—ing finish or not. It’s not up to you, No, it’s not,” he barks at his crew member.
Macy-O’Toole, from Long Island, New York who was often homesick last season, appears to be having some issues gelling with the new crew members as well.
And the yachties look like they will be hitting some rough seas as the trailer shows the Sirocco apparently taking on water. The vessel was also featured in the show’s second season in Croatia.
