Fall arrives at Trader Joe’s
Nothing says fall quite like a bumper crop of new autumnflavored products at Trader Joe’s. The chain has debuted a
few new items for a limited time to help you celebrate the changing of the seasons, even if it is still hot out.
Apple Cider Donuts: These cake-style donuts are made in New England using sweet apple cider and then hand-rolled in generous amounts of cinnamon-sugar while hot out of the fryer. A box of six is $3.99.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chuck Oatmeal Cookie Mix: This cookie mix has all your favorite flavors rolled into one can so you can whip up a batch fresh at home. Just add butter, an egg and water and the house will smell of warm nutmeg, allspice, and clove. A can is $3.99.
Pumpkin Spice Biocellulose Face Mask: Put the power of pumpkin to work with this single-use, compostable face mask infused with a seasonally spiced serum. It tones and moisturizes thanks to pumpkin seed, turmeric root extracts, aloe leaf juice, shea butter and a blend of clove flower, cinnamon bark, orange peel and ginger root oils. Masks are $2.99 each.
Maple Ginger Cookie Swirl Ice Cream: This pint-sized carton packs a punch thanks to Triple Ginger Cookie crumbles and Vermont maple syrup swirled in. The creamy base is made with 14% butterfat. A pint is $2.99.
Cinnamon Bun Spread: Move over Cookie Butter, there’s a new spread in town. The smooth Cinnamon Bun Spread — with honey, cinnamon, vanilla and spices — will turn plain toast into something spectacular. Trader Joe’s also suggests heating it for 10 to 20 seconds in the microwave and then drizzling it on pumpkin pancakes. (Stores helpfully carry an easyto-make mix.) A jar is $3.49.
Autumn Maple Coffee: What better way to enjoy those home-baked cookies or ice cream than with a steaming hot cup o’ joe subtly flavored with Vermont maple syrup? The 100% Arabica beans are sourced from Colombia, Central America and Brazil. A 14-ounce bag is $7.99.
