Russ Weiner, the founder of Rockstar Energy Drink, has listed his Miami Beach and Delray Beach mansions for sale. The total asking price: $71.5 million.
Weiner bought his 12,881-square-foot Miami Beach estate, on prestigious North Bay Road, in July 2016 for just under $20 million. The six-bedroom, nine-bath property, which was built in 2013 and subsequently renovated by Weiner, went on the market Sept. 25 for $35 million.
The two-story gated home — a modern style with Bali influences — boasts 30-foot ceilings, a wine cellar, rooftop terrace, resort-style pool, eight-person Jacuzzi, exotic landscaping surrounded by covered loggias and a state-of-the-art outdoor barbecue.
The property has 175 linear feet on Biscayne Bay and can accommodate a yacht up to 150 feet. It also comes with a boat lift, four jet-ski lifts and a swim platform.
“It’s one of the biggest lots on North Bay Road,” said Brett Harris, director of luxury sales with Douglas Elliman Real Estate in
Miami, the listing agent.
North Bay Road is a neighborhood popular with celebrities. Past residents have included Matt Damon, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, Calvin Klein and Ricky Martin. “That location has become very hot,” Harris said.
The Delray Beach property, at 801 S. Ocean Blvd., listed for $36.5 million last week. It totals 21,021 square feet and has six bedrooms and a 12-car, air-conditioned garage, according to the MLS. Sitting on 2.2 acres, the estate also has a pool, water slide, spa and tennis court. Weiner bought the home for $11.6 million in March 2009, public records show.
“This property has 225 feet of ocean frontage, which is a double lot,” said Candace Friis, a broker-associate with The Corcoran Group in Delray Beach, who holds the listing. “It is an astronomical find in Delray in the estate section.”
She added that Weiner is selling the house because “he wants to build a larger home — 50,000 square feet or so — somewhere in South Florida.”
According to Forbes, Weiner, who founded Rockstar in 2001 and is the son of right-wing talk-radio host Michael Savage, has a net worth of $4.1 billion.
