‘Brilliant’ architecture
Waterfront estate in the Venetian Islands wows with striking geometric façade
You step into the three-level home through an outdoor foyer, featuring an aquatic atrium, glass elevator, green wall and 19-foot entry door — and you’re in “a temple of architecture.”
The 9,228-square-foot, $18.5 million waterfront estate in the Venetian Islands wows with a striking geometric façade that’s an unusual architectural style for South Florida.
The property, at 941 N. Venetian Drive in Miami, is on Biscayne Island, part of a chain of six manmade islands in Biscayne Bay that bridge Miami and Miami Beach.
Interior features include five bedrooms, eight baths, two family rooms, a theater and office. The master suite has a balcony with a suspended plunge pool that can accommodate eight guests. There’s also a rooftop deck with a lounge for entertaining.
Outside, the house, which was completed this year, has 100 linear feet on Biscayne Bay and a pool with a floating island.
“This house was customized for the ultimate owner — someone who likes to entertain, who wants their home to be a temple of architecture, who wants to leave a mark,” said Dina Goldentayer, executive director of sales at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Miami Beach. “The architecture is brilliant.”
The ultra-modern house has been furnished by Italian contemporary luxury brand Minotti and contains $2 million worth of curated art and sculptures.
While the furnishings and art are not included in the purchase price, they are available for sale to a buyer seeking a turnkey opportunity, Goldentayer said.
“The Venetian Islands are essentially an extension of South Beach, and this location in particular is equidistant from Sunset Harbour and downtown Miami,” said Goldentayer. “You can always find people in the Venetians out walking or exercising. It really has a community vibe.”
