Winterfest Inc. hosted the installation of its new 2020-2021 board members via a Zoom meeting. The YMCA of the Palm Beaches announced Douglas Johnson as its new senior director of operations.
The Promise Fund of Florida announced that Harvey E. Oyer III has joined its board of directors. Oyer is an attorney and partner in the West Palm Beach office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group.
Education
The Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation elected a new slate of officers to its board of directors. Lisa Marie Browne, of Boca Raton, was elected board chair. She has served on the foundation board since 2005, including 10 terms as vice chairman. Browne succeeds long-serving board chair

The Florida League of Cities recognized Margate Commissioner Antonio V. Arse
rio with a 2020 Home Rule Hero Award. Arserio earned this award for his tireless efforts throughout the legislative session to promote local voices making local choices, protect the Home Rule powers of Florida’s municipalities, and advance the League’s legislative agenda. Home Rule is the ability for a city to address local problems with local solutions with minimal state interference. Home Rule Hero Award recipients are local government officials, both elected and nonelected, who consistently responded to the League’s request to reach out to members of the legislature and help give a local perspective on an issue.
