Arson suspected after cars destroyed

WESTON — Seven vehicles were burned beyond recognition near a car dealership in Weston in a suspected arson attack.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and Davie Fire Rescue worked to douse the flames about 1 p.m. Friday in the 2300 block of Meridian Parkway. The vehicles belonged to the Weston

Nissan/ Volvo dealership but were parked off site, fire officials said.

“When firefighters arrived on the scene there were a total of seven vehicles burning,” said Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane, with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.

The flames gutted several sedans and SUVs.
