Cops: Voyeur had pictures of naked child on phone

POMPANO BEACH — Several photographs thought to be from a cellphone video that appeared to show a naked pre-teen girl has landed the cellphone’s owner behind bars.

James Joseph Browne, 33, of Pompano Beach, was found and arrested Thursday on charges of video voyeurism that date back to June 2019, according to the arrest report.

Browne was also being investigated for alleged sexual battery on a minor, the report stated.

At his first court appearance Thursday, he was ordered held in the Broward County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
