A 14,949-square-foot estate in Miami Beach that was previously owned by former Miami Heat star Chris Bosh recently hit the market for $42 million.

The home, at 6396 N. Bay Road, sits on a half-acre lot and has seven bedrooms and a total of 10 baths. According to public records, Bosh purchased the property in September 2010 for $12.33 million and sold it in January 2021 for $14.43 million to 6396 NBR Aqua LLC, an entity affiliated with developer AquaBlue Group, which renovated the home, originally built in 2009. It’s now being sold furnished, complete with custom Italian furniture. Coral Gables-based Touzet Studio did the design.

“This was one of the first modern homes that was built in our market,” said Albert Justo, a real estate agent with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty in Miami Beach, who holds the listing with colleague Mirce Curkoski. “At the time, those homes were very industrial and cold, with a lot of white, but that’s what people wanted. When the owner looked at the house, he saw the potential.”

Upon arrival at the two-story gated home, guests are greeted by a living green wall and a garden courtyard area with water installations. Interior features include a double-height great room surrounded by glass, a commercial-grade elevator, a spacious master suite and a chef’s kitchen with island. Outside, there’s a mosaic-tile infinity pool, an outdoor kitchen, a dock and 100 linear feet on Biscayne Bay. There is Italian millwork throughout the home.

North Bay Road is a neighborhood popular with celebrities. “It’s a long winding road that overlooks Biscayne Bay, and you get beautiful sunset views,” Justo said. “I’ve been in this market for 20 years, and many celebrities who have bought end up buying on North Bay Road. It’s an area with a lot of prestige.”

According to his website, Chris Bosh is an NBA Hall of Famer, an 11-time All-Star, a two-time NBA champion and an Olympic gold medalist. He began his career on the Toronto Raptors and then played for the Heat for six seasons. He retired in 2016.
