The Florida Commission on the Status of Women has extended the deadline for the 2022 Women’s History Essay and Video Contests to Feb. 28. The organizati­on is seeking entries for the 2022 Women’s History Essay Contest for students in grades 6-8 and Women’s History Video Contest for students in grades 9-12. The Commission invites all Florida students, of any gender, to participat­e in order to gain a more relevant appreciati­on of women’s roles in history. Applicants for board of bar examiners seat. Members of the public are invited to volunteer on or before March 21, 2022 for one vacancy on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. A joint screening committee will recommend three nominees for the vacancy to the Supreme Court of Florida. The Supreme Court of Florida will appoint one public member to serve on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners for a three-year term starting Nov. 1, 2022, and expiring on Oct. 31, 2025.
