The Kathleen Brush Program for Women in Leadership, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Sept. 5 through April 24, 2019, Florida Atlantic University, 777 Glades Road., Boca Raton. Intensive 12-session certificate program will combine both hard and soft business skills while also teaching techniques to overcome subtle gender biases that affect a woman’s ability to advance her career. In addition to the in-class curriculum, participants will be matched with C-Suite level mentors and will be developing a written Individual Development Plan to guide professional growth. The program will feature a networking and mentoring program and emphasize applying theory-to-practice. Some partial scholarships are available. Small Business Executive Program; Nonprofit Executive Program Spring 2019: Presented by the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, part of Florida State University’s College of Business. Classes will be held in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The programs commence in January and run through May, featuring nine sessions that each focus on a particular aspect of growing a business or nonprofit. ideal for CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, presidents and executive directors of small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
