Up­scale eatery planned; work­ers wanted

A Texas-based restau­rant chain is seek­ing 150 staff mem­bers for the Oc­to­ber open­ing of its first South Florida lo­ca­tion in down­town Fort Laud­erdale.

Del Frisco’s Grille is ac­cept­ing job ap­pli­ca­tions ev­ery Mon­day through Satur­day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at its new lo­ca­tion at 501 Las Olas Blvd., Suite 150, or on­line at any time at Del­friscos­grille.com, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease by its par­ent com­pany, Del Frisco’s Restau­rant Group.

Avail­able po­si­tions in­clude servers, bar­tenders, food run­ners, bussers, hosts and hostesses, dish ma­chine op­er­a­tors, line and prep cooks, and broil­ers. The com­pany of­fers med­i­cal, den­tal and vi­sion plan and a 401(k) re­tire­ment plan with match­ing con­tri­bu­tions for all hourly em­ploy­ees, the com­pany said.

The news re­lease de­scribes Del Frisco’s Grille Fort Laud­erdale as “a stylish, mod­ern restau­rant with a vi­brant am­biance” that will serve a “thought­ful menu,” in­clud­ing “hand-cut steaks,

freshly-caught seafood and crave­able, share­able dishes such as the sig­na­ture Cheeses­teak Eg­grolls and Ar­ti­choke Beignets.”

Del Frisco’s Grille is open in 24 lo­ca­tions through­out the United States, in­clud­ing one other Florida lo­ca­tion, in Tampa. A sis­ter brand, Del Frisco’s Dou­ble Ea­gle Steak­house, is open in 15 lo­ca­tions, in­clud­ing on In­ter­na­tional Drive in Or­lando. A third brand in the chain, Sul­li­van’s Steak­house, has 14 lo­ca­tions but none in Florida.

The Fort Laud­erdale lo­ca­tion will be open seven days a week for din­ner, and Mon­day through Satur­day for lunch, the re­lease said. It will also serve brunch Satur­days and Sun­days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 8,083-square-foot Fort Laud­erdale lo­ca­tion will seat more than 274 guests.
