SUN­RISE – An­drei Vasilevskiy made 31 saves to lead the Light­ning past the Pan­thers 4-2 in the pre­sea­son fi­nale on Sat­ur­day night.

Mathieu Joseph, J.T. Miller and Cory Conacher scored for Tampa Bay, which fin­ished the pre­sea­son 4-3-0.

Jonathan Hu­berdeau and Mike Hoff­man scored for Flor­ida, which went 3-4-0. Roberto Luongo made 23 saves.

The Pan­thers open the reg­u­lar sea­son next Sat­ur­day at the Light­ning and then open at home against the Colum­bus Blue Jack­ets on Thurs­day, Oct. 11. —Wells Dusen­bury
