Disney Magic to host TCM Classic Cruise
Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr in “An Affair to Remember”
Calling all fans of Turner Classic Movies. The channel for vintage movies will mark its 25th anniversary by bringing back the TCM Classic Cruise.
The event will unfold for five nights on the Disney Magic next year. TCM billed it as “the majestic Disney Magic.”
The dates: Oct. 22-27, 2019.
The cruise starts in New York and goes to Bermuda.

TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz will serve as cruise host. TCM promised “appearances by legendary classic film stars, screenings of great movies, unique presentations with film experts, in-depth interviews, Q&A sessions, trivia games and more.”
“TCM has a passionate and devoted audience that is the driving force behind our success, and we wanted to do something special for our upcoming 25th anniversary to celebrate with our fans,” said Jennifer Dorian, general manager of TCM. “The TCM Classic Cruise has always been such a beloved fan experience that we felt this landmark anniversary was the perfect time to re-launch this immersive, curated and engaging fan experience.”
When you think classic movies and cruises, certain titles come to mind: 1939’s “Love Affair”; its 1957 remake, “An Affair to Remember”; and 1942’s “Now, Voyager.” In the movies, a star usually finds a love to last a lifetime on a cruise. If it worked for Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, why not you?
