It is with great sadness, the family of Kitty Haymes, announces her passing on November 4th, 2018, peacefully, at her home in Boca Raton. She is survived by her love and soulmate of 25 years, Ralph “Buddy” Amato, her children Randy and Robert Young, Shelley Haymes and Richard Siegel, Michael and Karen Haymes, her adoring grandchildren, Jamie and Doug, Josh and Awilda, Ben, Michelle and Rob, and great grandchildren Sophie and Jonah. Special thanks to Buddy for his love and exceptional devotion over the past 7 years and her caregivers/angels, Lorna, Althea and Isobell for their kindness and tireless dedication to Kitty in her time of need. Kitty was a woman way ahead of her time. From her elegance to her views of social equality, diversity and her willingness to accept people from all walks of life, all qualities we wish were prominent today. Her presence and energy was a force of nature and her infectious smile will live on in our hearts, forever…
No one loved a party more, so please join us Friday, November 9th, from 3 to 6pm, to celebrate her life and legacy at Irondequoit Country Club, 4045 East Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jewish Senior Life, 2021 South Winton Road, Rochester, New York 14618 or The Ben Haymes Campership Fund c/o Rochester Area Community Foundation, 500 East Avenue, Rochester, New York 14607.
