John R. Robinson

-

It is with great sadness that the family of John Robinson announces his passing. John Robinson of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea passed unexpectedly on November 20th, 2018 at the age of 85. John was born July 24, 1933 to Raymond and Jean Robinson in London, Ontario, Canada. He moved to Pompano Beach, Florida where he raised a family and started his business, E-Bond Epoxies, before moving to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

John was a pioneer in the epoxy industry and worked closely with the Departments of Transportation in Florida, Kansas, Michigan and North Carolina, as well as primary industrial companies.

John was graced with wit, charm, generosity and an adventurer’s lust for life. He spent much of his free time cruising the world and enjoyed sharing his love for cruising with his family. John coordinated several large family cruises over the years, often coinciding with his birth month. His final voyage was just 4 months ago, with 23 family members joining him in Alaska to celebrate his 85th birthday.

John is survived by his wife. He will be sorely missed by his daughters, Cathy Ridge, Patti Miller and her husband Barry, Lori McHale and her husband Scott, Jennifer Swenty and her husband Brian and stepdaughter Fabiana Lenis. He was particularly fond of his grandchildren Christena Perry, James Ridge, Joshua Miller, Rachel Schott, Rebekka Miller, Jessica McHale, Ryan McHale, Emma Swenty, Alejandro Lenis, Sebastian Lenis, Isabella Botero and great grandchildren Brylie Miller, Brody Miller, Lucas Ridge-Lavoie and J.J. Ridge. A Memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday November 28th from 2-5pm with a memorial service from 5-6PM at Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 W. Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of his favorite charities.
